RH is seeking a Transportation Planner to join our Domestic Transportation team and help drive the next chapter of operational excellence. Our team orchestrates the movement of goods across multiple modes of transportation, overseeing planning, tracking, and exception resolution with precision and care. In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing RH’s domestic network while playing a vital role in shaping our international expansion strategy.
As a Transportation Planner, you will partner directly with RH Senior Leadership on network design and optimization, while collaborating with carrier partners to deliver service levels that elevate the customer experience and reflect the highest standards of Quality and Innovation.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee shipment logistics by tracking in-transit deliveries, coordinating with internal teams and carrier partners, and addressing scheduling or tracking inquiries
  • Source competitive carrier rates and make cost-effective, service-oriented shipping decisions that drive operational excellence and elevate the customer experience
  • Provide advanced Transportation Management System (TMS) support, including establishing routing guides, uploading rates, and generating enhanced reporting critical to Intermodal (IM) and Over-the-Road (OTR) bids
  • Own RH’s detention program by reviewing, approving/denying, and communicating decisions regarding all carrier-submitted accessorial charges
  • Support operational execution by coordinating shipment scheduling, tracking, and exception resolution across all transportation modes
  • Partner with Transportation Leadership to advance projects and strategic initiatives that strengthen RH’s domestic network and support international expansion

OUR REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of two years of work-related skills, knowledge, and experience; transportation or logistics experience strongly preferred but not required
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs, priorities, and processes
  • Proven ability to address and resolve problems creatively, decisively, and in a timely manner
  • Effectively address and resolve escalated issues and disputes with service providers in a
  • professional and diplomatic manner
  • Demonstrates initiative and excellent time management skills to drive high-priority tasks and outstanding issues to completion
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
  • Technical background using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as E2Open is preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Work is predominantly performed in an office environment requiring the operation of standard office equipment
  • Maneuver effectively in a distribution center, gallery, and office environments
  • Occasional local, domestic and/or international travel may be required
