Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Knowledge Manager to join our Support Group. This role is pivotal in managing and enhancing our technical knowledge base, ensuring that support documentation is accurate, accessible, and continuously improved. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical support, documentation, and scripting, with a passion for knowledge sharing and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain the technical knowledge base, ensuring content is up-to-date, relevant, and easy to navigate.
- Collaborate with support engineers and product teams to capture and document solutions, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
- Analyze support trends to identify knowledge gaps and proactively address them.
- Develop and enforce documentation standards and templates.
- Conduct regular audits of existing content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Train and mentor support staff on knowledge management tools and practices.
- Drive initiatives to improve self-service capabilities for internal and external users.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical support role with a strong focus on documentation and knowledge base contribution.
- Proven experience in managing or contributing to a structured knowledge management system.
- Strong understanding of Windows operating system, including scripting in Command Line and PowerShell.
- Familiarity with C# coding (advantageous).
- Proficient in SQL queries, with hands-on experience in MSSQL (advantageous).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with knowledge management platforms (e.g., Confluence, ServiceNow Knowledge, Zendesk Guide).
- Familiarity with ITIL or other support frameworks.
- Experience in technical writing or content strategy.
