The role holder will be required to assist the Actuarial IFRS 17 Planning & Forecasting Lead by working independently and collaborating with other IFRS 17 functions to:
- Produce financial projections and forecasts, including Management Information (MI) reports such as Source of Earnings (SoE), Contractual Service Margin (CSM) roll-forward, Operating Profit, and Balance Sheet under IFRS 17. Collaborate closely with IFRS 17 Finance, IFRS 17 Actuarial Reporting, and the Embedded Value Team to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Perform thorough analytical reviews of financial and MI results to provide assurance and insights to the Head of Corporate Actuarial, Chief Actuary, and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
- Perform bridging projection and forecast of financial and MI results against actual reporting such as CSM and RA amortization, experience variances, Net Investment result, etc. Align forecasts with business plans across different reporting bases (e.g., EEV, Local GAAP), including New Business Profit (NBP) and Shareholder Fund (SHF) bridging.
- Support the Future Finance Program (FFP) initiatives aimed at enhancing forecasting processes and reporting outputs within the IFRS 17 Business Planning & Forecasting team.
- Identify and resolve issues in forecasting methodologies and solutions in collaboration with the IFRS 17 & Modelling team, ensuring continuous improvement and robustness of financial models.
