About The Team:

This position is for Direct banking solutions under Liquidity & Core banking Technology. Team would be focusing on developing / implementing customized enhancements based on business requirements, Periodic Upgrades, maintaining Direct Banking solutions.  

Impact

The Software Engineer II- Kafka / Redis role is responsible for maintaining the Redis and Kafka clusters along with deploying, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting these critical systems..

Key Deliverables

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Redis and Kafka clusters in production, UAT, QA, and dev environments
• Monitor performance and availability, implementing tuning and scaling as needed
• Ensure data integrity, backup, and disaster recovery for both platforms
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps to design and implement robust messaging and caching solutions
• Automate deployments, upgrades, and monitoring with scripts and tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines)
• Stay on top of emerging best practices for Redis and Kafka, recommending improvements and upgrades

Skills And Qualification

Minimum 5 years of experience with Redis and Kafka setup, configuation, and troubleshooting

Strong Linux skills (shells, logs, systemctl, etc.)

Experience with monitoring logging tools (DynaTrace, Grafana, Splunk, etc)

Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or equivalent) for automation

Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus
