Supply Chain Associate

Meyer Distributing is looking for a Supply Chain Associate to join our Jasper, IN team!

The Supply Chain Associate is responsible for planning and scheduling the inbound freight for Meyer Distributing in the most efficient manner possible. They utilize the Meyer Logistics fleet to maximize the use of available space on trucks by coordinating the transportation of supplier products. Additionally, the Associate manages the daily operations of these pickups to ensure the process is completed smoothly.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience and ability to operate a forklift or man lift preferred.

Pay:

• Based on Experience

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Supply Chain Associate duties include, but are not limited to:

• Create and route supplier pickup requests
• Manage daily supplier pickup execution
• Schedule appointments and provide truck ETAs
• Determine appropriate truck sizes for pickups
• Maintain semi pickup calendar
• Update and manage supplier address database
• Review of freight negotiations with suppliers
• Communicate with inventory on discrepancies
• Communicate with receiving on order information
• Align supplier and Meyer order data with Purchasing
• Communicate with Dispatch on semi pickups
• Coordinate with Meyer Logistics on rolled pickups
• All other duties as assigned
