Job Description: 

Our client, located in Santa Monica, California, is seeking a Security Manager who is responsible for overseeing and implementing security measures to protect an organization's assets, employees, and guests, ensuring a safe and secure environment. A basic understanding of Cybersecurity is a plus. 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and Implement Security Policies: Create and enforce security protocols and procedures to safeguard the organization’s assets and personnel.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate potential threats.
• Incident Response: Coordinate responses to security incidents, including investigations and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security operations.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure readiness for various scenarios.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

• Education: A high school diploma is typically required; a college degree in a related field (e.g., criminal justice, security management) is often preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience of 3 years in security management or a related field, with a strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage security teams and interact with various stakeholders.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze security risks and develop effective strategies to address them.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with security technologies and systems like CIEM logs, CCTV networks, including surveillance equipment, and access control systems.

Work Environment:

• Security Managers typically work in office settings but may also conduct on-site inspections, audits, and assessments. Reports to the HR manager and works closely with the IT and cybersecurity manager.
