Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team and support the successful delivery of complex mechanical, plumbing projects valued at up to $20 million. This role is responsible for preparing detailed and accurate estimates for MEP construction projects. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical systems knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to deliver complex projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with construction drawings and specs.
Position Responsibilities:
- Drive new business development by identifying, qualifying, and securing opportunities that align with company growth objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at existing and prospective client organizations, serving as the primary point of contact for all sales matters.
- Prepare and deliver accurate, customer-focused sales quotations and proposals that address client needs and project requirements.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including sales forecasts, pipeline activity, and quarterly results.
- Research market trends, generate and follow up on leads, and maintain a robust pipeline of potential customers and emerging opportunities.
- Lead Business Review Meetings with existing clients and facilitate introduction and strategy meetings with new customers.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless, customer-centric sales experience from proposal to delivery.
- Communicate client requirements effectively to internal stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to improve sales performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical project estimating with strong expertise in HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
- Experience estimating projects ranging from $25,000 to $50 million in value.
- Proficiency with estimating software such as FastPipe, FastDuct, FastWrap, or equivalent platforms.
- Willingness to travel for pre-bid meetings, job walks, and client consultations as needed.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple project or account portfolios simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong professional relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solution-driven with a strong ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- In-office position; remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available.
