Overview

We are seeking a hands-on and strategic leader to join as Vice President, Infrastructure & Technology Operations. This role will lead the design, operation, and ongoing evolution of our infrastructure, user support, and technology operations across a growing and complex organization. The VP will serve as the senior subject matter expert and executive accountable for enterprise infrastructure and support services. This includes ownership of our cloud infrastructure strategy, site and facility tech setup, end-user support, disaster recovery, operational tooling, and delivery oversight of our infrastructure and support teams. This individual will work closely with cybersecurity, enterprise applications, data + analytics, and software engineering leaders to deliver scalable, standardized, and secure technology services across the company.

Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Hosting

  • Lead the strategy, operation, and maturity of our hybrid cloud environment (primarily Azure, with some AWS and on-prem).
  • Oversee resource provisioning, cost optimization, performance monitoring, and modernization of hosting services.
  • Own disaster recovery, data center standards, and business continuity planning.
  • Partner with cybersecurity on infrastructure hardening, posture management, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Direct day-to-day activities of offshore infrastructure and support teams aligned to this function.
  • Define and support a hybrid model of internal and vendor-based delivery.
  • Act as the escalation point and strategic integrator for offshore based talent supporting infrastructure and user services.

End-User Services & Support

  • Lead global end-user support across headquarters, remote sites, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and offshore teams.
  • Own onboarding, offboarding, permissions, and access provisioning - including working to automate and standardize these workflows.
  • Manage third-party vendor support (tier 1 and 2) and own escalation and resolution for tickets requiring in-house expertise.
  • Track and improve user experience and SLAs, integrating ITIL-aligned processes over time.

Physical Infrastructure & Site Support

  • Own standards and provisioning for physical infrastructure (cabling, racking, networking) in all sites.
  • Coordinate with Facilities teams for backup power, environmental controls, and physical security but retain accountability for IT stack.
  • Define staffing and support models by site size, function, and tech stack maturity.

Tooling, Automation & License Management

  • Own tooling for endpoint management, asset tracking, patching, and monitoring.
  • Lead automation efforts to reduce manual workloads and improve consistency.
  • Manage license tracking and software inventory across IT-managed systems, in collaboration with Procurement and Finance.

Technology Operations & Service Enablement

  • Build and oversee a lean, high-performance infrastructure operations team including both onshore and offshore personnel.
  • Establish clear KPIs for availability, system health, incident response, change management, and service quality.
  • Drive execution of strategic platform readiness and IT modernization projects aligned with the broader transformation agenda.

DevOps & Engineering Partnership

  • Own and support IT-owned infrastructure, automation tooling, and delivery environments that serve engineering teams.
  • Partner with Software Engineering to delineate platform responsibilities for CI/CD, monitoring, and environment provisioning.

Financial & Strategic Accountability

  • Own the infrastructure and technology operations budget, partner with the CIO and Finance on cost visibility and prioritization.
  • Participate in vendor governance, licensing negotiations, and cost-justification efforts.
  • Support ROI tracking and value realization efforts tied to platform investments.

Qualifications

  • 12 - 15+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure, cloud, and technology operations.
  • Deep understanding of Azure environments, including IaaS/PaaS, networking, security, and monitoring.
  • Track record of leading support teams and infrastructure initiatives across distributed, hybrid workforces.
  • Experience supporting a complex, mid-market to enterprise-sized organization with both onshore and offshore teams.
  • Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, and ITIL frameworks (current maturity is aspirational).
  • Hands-on leader with strong ownership mindset and willingness to dig into issues alongside the team.
  • Skilled at scaling infrastructure delivery across functions, geographies, and maturity levels.
  • Clear communicator who builds credibility with internal stakeholders, external customers, and cross-functional partners.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and evolving processes while driving toward standardization and stability.
