Job Description
The Foreign Trade Operations Department at Robert Bosch Ltd based in Denham, has a fantastic opportunity for an undergraduate student with a keen interest in Foreign Trade, Customs Processes and Data Analysis to undertake a 12-month placement.
As an Intern in this department, you will have an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience working for a highly reputable global company where you can develop your personal and professional skills. You can gain broad business insights and an opportunity to build networks with colleagues from various departments, entities and global regions. You will play a vital role in our team by leveraging various tools, including Power BI, to enhance transparency in our processes and results. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development of innovative bots to streamline operations.
- Visualizing customs data to provide clear insights and facilitate decision-making. Cleansing customs data to ensure accuracy and reliability in our day-to-day business activities.
- Contributing to initiatives aimed at increasing process efficiency across the organization.
- Provide assistance in managing the daily operational queries from internal customer and service providers, with guidance and oversight from the team.
- Assistance in preparation for and attendance at audits (internal, external, broker).
- Develop and maintain an internal Bosch Intranet page to provide up-to-date information to the UK Businesses
You will be actively supporting the operations team in areas such as:
- Carrying our procedural mapping and documentation
- Carrying out Invoice Verification with our brokers and driving process improvements
- Supporting the Internal Control process ensuring compliance
- Observing current processes and working styles to improve productivity and quality through process confirmation and automation.
Qualifications
- Studying for a undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline e.g. Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business and required to take a placement as part of your course.
- Excellent MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
- Good knowledge and understanding with Data Analysis tools preferred/prioritised e.g. Power BI
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a time-pressured environment
Good knowledge of systems preferred/prioritised (e.g. SAP)
Additional Information
This is a 12-month internship beginning in June 2026. This position is open to undergraduate students who are required to partake in a work placement as part of their course.
Location: you will be based at the Denham office.
Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to participate in a face-to-face interview by the hiring team and/or an online assessment centre.
You must have the right to live and work in the UK when you start your placement and for the full duration of your placement. Please note your placement must be directly relevant to your course to comply with visa requirements.
