Job Description
We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Associate Landscape Architect to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our growing landscape architecture practice, you will lead the delivery of complex projects across the region, bridging the gap between creative vision and built reality. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape sustainable and impactful landscapes in one of the world's most rapidly developing urban environments.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the technical development and delivery of complex landscape architecture projects from concept through construction, ensuring high-quality outcomes that meet client expectations and sustainability goals.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to achieve optimal results.
- Lead the preparation of detailed design drawings, specifications, and tender documentation, demonstrating a strong understanding of regional practices and standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (urban design, architecture, engineering) and external consultants to ensure seamless design integration and technical coherence.
- Mentor and supervise junior and mid-level landscape architects, providing guidance on technical detailing, documentation standards, and best practices.
- Conduct quality control reviews of team outputs, ensuring alignment with project requirements and office standards.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders, representing the firm in meetings, design reviews, and site visits.
- Contribute to business development efforts by assisting with project proposals, fee estimates, and resource planning.
- Drive innovation within the landscape team by identifying technical gaps and opportunities for implementing cutting-edge design solutions.
- Promote sustainable design practices and climate-appropriate landscaping techniques throughout all projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture; Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture preferred for candidates with an Architecture background.
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
- Strong technical skills in landscape design, construction documentation, and project delivery.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and visualization software.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in managing design teams.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of regional landscape practices, plant species, and climate-appropriate design solutions.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, specifications, and tender processes.
- Familiarity with urban design principles and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly to clients and team members.
