We are looking for a skilled and experienced Clinician Analyst to join our Information Services team at Deaconess Health System. As the destination-level role within the Clinician Analyst series, this position combines clinical expertise with systems analysis to support and optimize non-Epic clinical applications. You will lead projects, mentor junior analysts, and serve as a key liaison between clinical operations and IT, ensuring seamless integration between third-party systems and Epic.

Job Overview

  • Lead and coordinate clinical IT projects, including planning, documentation, workflow design, and communication with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with analysts and clinical teams to develop and refine workflows, ensuring system solutions align with patient care goals
  • Monitor and maintain efficient operation of non-Epic clinical applications, focusing on usability, performance, and data integrity
  • Coordinate risk management and server security monitoring related to clinical systems
  • Mentor Clinician Analyst I & II team members in application support, troubleshooting, and customer engagement
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in designated clinical applications or technologies, advising on strategic improvements and best practices
  • Participate in system testing, upgrades, and maintenance planning
  • Ensure optimal integration of third-party systems with Epic, supporting smooth data exchange and clinical operations

What You Will Need

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of relevant clinical systems experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Epic certification or proficiency required within four months of hire
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations
  • Project coordination or management experience preferred
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, propose solutions, and implement change
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Experience with system configuration, risk management, and clinical technology optimization
