What'S Your Role?

As part of our European Datacenter team, you will drive sales growth in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, collaborating closely with local sales partners and the Headquarter team. You will report to the Director of Sales EMEA Central.

  • The aim of the role is to drive growth in the data center segment by developing new customers and strengthening relationships with the existing ones
  • You will leverage your industry knowledge and contacts to position our advanced measurement solutions— such as temperature and humidity measurement solutions for data halls, air handlers, cooling systems, and outdoor installations—as essential control and monitoring system components for data center operators, colocation providers, and cloud service companies
  • You will work with the global team to expand Vaisala’s market presence by identifying and securing new business opportunities in the segment
  • Strategic Planning and Market Analysis: Develop and execute sales strategies to expand our client base for measurement solutions and services in data centers and achieve company revenue targets. Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and changing competitive landscape within data center industry. Monitor and report on sales metrics, pipeline status, and business development activities. Analyze and assess the effectiveness of business development strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
  • Identify, target, and acquire new clients within the data center industry that require accurate measurements for critical cooling and maximum uptime
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations
  • Utilize CRM (SalesForce) to manage opportunities, create quotes, and drive value-based selling
  • Participate in internal meetings and exhibitions, project reporting, and closely collaborate with the local sales team and other stakeholders.

What will you bring?

  • Fluency in both German and English is essential, with excellent communication skills and a strong technical interest, enabling the ability to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Understanding of data center infrastructure, cooling solutions, and building automation design
  • Proven track record of building strategic relationships and achieving sales growth in a technical B2B environment
  • A positive sales mindset, solid understanding of economic principles relevant to the business, strong teamwork skills, and a willingness to travel as required.
