As we continue to scale, we are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Director to build and lead our sourcing function, optimize vendor relationships, and deliver long-term value across the enterprise.
Role Overview:
The Team Lead, Software Engineering supervises a team of software engineers responsible for supporting, enhancing, and maintaining software applications and tools. Ensures operational efficiency and adherence to engineering standards and processes. Collaborates with other supervisors, engineering teams, and cross-functional partners to achieve objectives and resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities:
•Develops and directs work schedules of both contractors and/or front-line employees; monitors workflow to ensure engineering service levels and project milestones are maintained.
•Supervises staff in one area of software engineering operations; in partnership with Senior management may be responsible for basic people management responsibilities including, but not limited to, performance management, coaching, development, and similar.
•Interacts with other supervisors, engineering functions, and management to complete objectives.
•Performs root cause analysis and corrective action planning for software issues.
•Contributes to the development of reporting tools to track and monitor engineering efficiency and standards.
•Produces metrics on key performance indicators, quality, and customer satisfaction, both regularly and ad hoc.
•Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
•Intermediate software engineering and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to lead, motivate, and direct a workgroup.
•Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a remote, global work environment.
•Intermediate statistical analysis and vendor management skills.
Education and Experience:
•Typically, 2+ years of relevant software engineering experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
•Previous managerial/leadership experience preferred but not required.
