Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
The Analyst, Planning and Settlement is a key member of the Payments Operations team responsible for ensuring timely, complete, and accurate payment settlements, reconciliations, and operational reporting. This role supports financial and regulatory compliance and contributes to business objectives through collaboration with internal teams and external partners. We are seeking a detail-oriented team player with strong analytical and accounting skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This is an 18-month contract role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. This role may require you to work on-site once a week.
How You'Ll Make An Impact:
- Perform reconciliation of all Payments operational accounts and balance sheet items, including Prepaid and Credit Card lines of business.
- Settle funds with external business partners and Vancity members, cardholders, and clients.
- Review and code all Payments invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Invoice business partners and ensure timely receipt of payments.
- Create and submit daily journal entries and month-end adjusting entries in accordance with Vancity accounting policy and IFRS guidelines.
- Develop, optimize, and monitor payment processes to ensure regulatory compliance and a consistent cardholder experience.
- Create and submit financial and regulatory reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in financial operations, accounting, or payment processing.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with reconciliation and journal entries in accordance with IFRS.
- Proficiency in Excel and working with large datasets.
- Strong analytical skills to detect anomalies and resolve discrepancies.
- Business acumen in the payments or financial industry.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to provide specialized advice and respond to inquiries.
- Planning and coordination skills to meet reporting and business requirements.
- Enrollment in the CPA program is a nice to have.

What You’Ll Earn:
The salary range for this role is $49,700 to $74,500 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
