Position Summary

Direct the activities of the outpatient medical assistant team to align with optimal client care. Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal, and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Demonstrated experience in addiction treatment or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid training complete within three months of hire
  • Skilled in behavioral management techniques
  • Ability to lead discussions and educational presentations
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic healthcare record
  • Ability to accurately complete required documentation within the prescribed time frames
  • Valid IL driver’s license and the ability to meet agency insurance requirements
  • Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance

Responsibilities

1. Work hours prescribed by leadership and additional hours when deemed necessary for accomplishment of responsibilities including potential overtime.
2. Assist in the orientation and training of medical assistants at designated clinic affiliates, ensuring they receive the necessary support and resources.
3. Conduct regular supervisory meetings to provide feedback and guidance to medical assistants.
4. Facilitate scheduled performance evaluations and implement corrective actions when necessary.
5. Oversee and train all outpatient medical assistants in conducting face-to-face reviews of systems with clients prior to their visits with providers, ensuring thorough documentation of these reviews.
6. Monitor medication refill requests and transmit medication refills as directed.
7. Manage flow of clients in outpatient clinics to ensure optimal delivery of medical services.
8. Troubleshoot connectivity issues with providers.
9. Review and approve timecards of designated team members.
10. Attend all scheduled meetings of staff, such as nursing meetings, department meetings, or appropriate committee meetings as designated.
11. Understand and comply with the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
12. Perform all responsibilities in compliance with the mission, vision, values, and expectations of Rosecrance.
13. Able to provide culturally competent and exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
14. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
15. Assume other related duties as assigned by leadership.

Schedule

  • Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm (40 hours per week)

Shift: 1st shift

Work Location

Rosecrance Ware Center– Rockford, IL.

Work Mode: Onsite

Compensation

  • Starting Pay (based on education, experience, and credentials)
  • $21.11 per hour
  • $21.11 per hour
