NT Concepts is seeking an experienced Data Architect (Modeler) for an exciting data transformation opportunity within our Intel Community.
Clearance: Active TS/SCI w/CI Poly
Location/Flexibility: Remote Flexible with on-site work in the DC Metro area based on program need
Responsibilities
As a Data Architect/Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable data stores using relational, graph, and NoSQL databases. This role requires a strong understanding of data design, engineering, and architecture principles, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Design, develop, and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models, including support for ElasticSearch, historical databases, and data chain-of-custody tracking.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented data designs.
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure data quality and functionality.
- Work with stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into effective data model solutions.
- Support developers with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) implementation.
- Optimize, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data accessibility and usability.
- Stay current with emerging data engineering tools and technologies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 3+ years in a Data Architect, Data Designer, or Data Engineer role.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of entity-relationship design principles and object-oriented programming (OOP).
- Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ERWin, Tom Sawyer Perspectives).
- Proficiency in SQL and ability to write complex queries.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
