Team Lead, Accounts Payable

Do you want to make an impact and drive the growth of a global brand? We are looking for a Accounts Payable Team Lead to join our LATAM team, based in Mexico City.   

This position will support the AP Operations Team in operational and people management tasks and will lead project related to process improvements and any AP issues resolution and support larger projects. 

Your Role as a Accounts Payable Team Lead: 

•    Lead project related to process improvements and any AP issues resolution and support larger projects, 
•    Review ICFs performed by AP Teams,
•    Review Month End Close activities performed by AP Teams,
•    Actively support and train less experienced Team members
•    Propose coding of AP external and internal invoices and credit notes,
•    Assign invoices to reviewers,
•    Final invoice correctness check and transfer to ERP system,
•    Follow up on rejected invoices,
•    Handle queries from suppliers, Local Organizations and internal SSC stakeholders,
•    Prepare payment proposals,
•    Handle manual payments,
•    Perform Month End Close activities including preparation and posting of accruals, reclasses and accounts reconciliation,
•    Participate in internal and external audit by preparing and providing with requested documentation making sure the documentation is correct and delivered within deadlines,
•    Complete ad-hoc AP related requests from internal stakeholders including superiors,
•    Act as a backup person for all the entities within SSC scope when needed,
•    Identify opportunities for process improvements regarding quality and productivity and actively implement them.

• 4 years of experience working with Accounts Payable
• Bachelor´s degree in Fainance or related
• Advanced English
• Preferably knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP system
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and particularly in MS Excel 
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• International mind-set
• Proactive
• Strong customer service orientation and team player
• Can set direction and be a role model for subordinates
• Excellent communication skills (ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner and listen attentively to others)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational, motivation and planning skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously
