Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced, ambitious Chemist to take the lead in our Inorganics and Metals sections. This is more than a lab role – it’s a chance to shape the direction of a high-growth business, drive innovation, and accelerate your career.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Perform analytical testing and sample preparation using a range of laboratory instruments, including ICP, FIA, GC/GC-MS, LC/LC-MS, Discrete Analyser, and wet chemistry methods, while accurately reporting and interpreting results.
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards and NATA accreditation requirements.
- Support day-to-day laboratory operations, working with section leaders to meet turnaround times and implement process improvements.
- Assist in method development, validation, and technical troubleshooting in collaboration with the Quality Manager and technical staff.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and workspace, including scheduled calibration and adherence to safety protocols.
- Continuously develop skills and knowledge to support operational excellence and contribute to laboratory improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in science.
- Solid experience in environmental laboratory work, including hands-on experience with instrument analysis.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying tasks and working.
