Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure Technology, the Senior Network Administrator will administer the Firm’s data network by continuously and effectively monitoring, troubleshooting and maintaining the network systems, ensuring the reliable and efficient functioning of the Firm’s data network services without interruption.

Major Responsibilities

 Troubleshoots and solves complex network connectivity problems, including monitoring the network and for problems, diagnosing problems, and taking the appropriate corrective measures to and maintain reliable networks services for the firm

•  Participate in development of architectural strategy, including technology standardization of enterprise, data center and disaster recovery network infrastructures
•  Collaborate cross functional teams of Network and Security Architects, Server and Platform Engineers, and Data Center Operations
•  Collaborate cross functional teams of Network and Security Architects, Server and Platform Engineers, and Data Center Operations
•  Responsible for all aspects of implementation and support of Local Area Network and Wireless Local Area Network technologies
•  Manage the Firm’s data WAN network service over MPLS, LAN Extension, IPSec Tunnels, ISP providers and cloud Express route services
•  Manage all offices LAN networking infrastructure – Core and edge switches, Wifi access points, Firewalls, MS domain controllers, load balancers
•  Manage firms Internet domain name services
•  Ensures network security by ensuring proper user accessibility and being able to reasonably guard against security threats that will face the network.

•  Monitors data communication activities for network security threats and being able to reasonably guard against security risks against network
•  Receives and responds to incoming calls, e-mails, or pages regarding network operations and/or problems
•  Conduct testing of network design and failover
•  Develop and maintain all network documentation, design, installation, operational, and configuration procedures
• Perform a broad range of activities at an advanced technical level and understand the importance of resolving issues in a timely manner
•  Manage networking infrastructure within Azure tenant
•  Manage and administer firm Firewalls
•  Manage VPN services for remote access
•  Provides MS Active directory Domain Administrator services
•  Respond to after-hours emergencies, lead the mitigation and resolution processes
•  Participate in scalability and growth decisions, recommend and test network hardware
•  Troubleshoot and resolve network related security, stability or performance issues
•  Conduct regular log monitoring, vulnerability scans, penetration testing and system health checking
•  Administer, set up and monitor enterprise Cisco switches including VLANs, PoE, QoS, DHCP.
•  Maintains daily operation of the Firm’s network including administrative functions such as:
• Providing daily maintenance by coordinating routine network activities
• Capacity planning, network performance monitoring
• Manage and administer changes to Firewall policies and rules
• Support all network changes required by other IT admins and/or project work
• Adhere to firms ISO 27001 based policies to maintain, system standards and industry best practices
•  Manages WAN Optimizer services
•  Excellent understanding of networking principles and technologies in an enterprise level multi-site environment
•  Works with network vendors to manage implementation of new technologies
•  Performs software and hardware upgrades and testing for all data network equipment
•  Assists with special projects as assigned
•  Performing diagnostics, resolving problems, escalate problems to vendors as required, working with other group members, and taking appropriate actions to assure appropriate and prompt solutions to system, application, and customer problems
•  Make recommendations regarding hardware and software acquisition, preparing/maintaining documentation (both operational and troubleshooting) on systems/services/applications
•  Plan out network installation and/or upgrade project
•  Manage vendor relationships
•  Participate in IT projects and work closely with PM’s and IT administrators in planning and implementing network changes to support the project
•  Participates in change management process as required, including submission, communication of requests, and supplying status updates for assigned tasks
•  Maintain and monitor inventory consisting of equipment, spare parts, and materials.
•  Will have a company phone to provide afterhours support if needed

Position Requirements:

Education And Experience

University degree in a technology-related discipline, Cisco CCNA or CCNP and Palo Alto PCNSE certification preferred. MS Windows networking, and a minimum five years' experience in a LAN/WAN operations role or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
