Director Of Nursing
Elizabeth Scott Community is seeking to hire a Director of Nursing to join our excellent team of caregivers! The Director of Nursing is responsible for organizing, administering, and overseeing nursing care of all residents. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: We offer competitive rates and excellent benefits including health, dental, vision, 403B, and life insurance.Assumes responsibility in the training of newly employed personnel and continuous training of direct care staff.
Ensures that the needs of all residents are met by assigning a sufficient number of personnel for each shift, providing staff development that will upgrade the competence of the personnel, and regularly reviewing the nursing requirements of each resident in the facility.
Ensures quality assurance standards are communicated, attained, and maintained.
Serves as “on-call” person on a rotating basis.
Oversees and assists with the MDS process and manages the delivery of clinical care and programs.
Certified infection preventionist preferred and/or willing to obtain.
Actively participates in QAPI, IDT, and ICS.
Collaborates with the Administrator and performs related duties as may be delegated by the Administrator.
Directs the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care in accordance with current Federal, State, and facility standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Must possess strong organizational skills, a dynamic leadership approach, and ambition to positively impact the lives of our residents and staff.
Must have a RN license in good standing with the State of Ohio. Prefer 3 years of experience as a DON, preferably in long-term care.
Experience with the ODH Survey and Certification process.
Strong clinical skills with a quality improvement focus with an ability to work with a diverse team and the aptitude to adapt to the ever changing healthcare regulatory and reimbursement environment.
