About The Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented portfolio credit analyst to join our growing front-book credit team to underwrite SMEs and middle-market companies. You will also work with members of our data, sales, risk operations, client development, and other teams to provide a frictionless experience for our clients while ensuring compliance with internal policies. This role will require you to be efficient and nimble.

This role reports directly to Rho’s Head of Credit and is based in our Salt Lake City office, 5 days a week.

What You’Ll Do

• Help manage the growing portfolio of extended credit clients by identifying high-risk clients, re-underwriting credit limits, and making recommendations on portfolio actions.
• Perform credit analyses, leveraging internal portfolio tools, utilizing Excel credit models, and other software tools, including building a cash flow statement and analyzing bank data
• Using internal tools, effectively identify and document individual high-risk credits and right-size limits based on their risk profile
• Effectively communicate the status of support documentation, maintain up-to-date client files by ensuring connectivity to third-party accounting and bank data platforms, collect and track financials and other information on a regular basis
• Assist other credit team members on all aspects of underwriting, risk monitoring, and ad hoc projects as needed

What You Bring

• 2+ year of full-time experience at a bank, fintech lender, accounting firm, or similar institution
• Quantitative background, including a degree in mathematics, natural sciences, or engineering
• Proficient in U.S. GAAP and three-statement financial modeling in Excel
• Extreme attention to detail, capable of performing work with an ownership mentality
• Comfortable working independently and managing ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
• Extreme intellectual and personal integrity
• Excellent interpersonal skills across a variety of communication styles
• Capable of multi-tasking across competing assignments with changing priorities and deadlines
