About The Team
The Consumer Experience team focuses on making DoorDash the best way for consumers to connect with everything their neighborhood has to offer. We are building inspiring browsing for restaurants and retail categories, a personalized homepage, intuitive search, and trustworthy reviews to accelerate marketplace growth.
About The Role
DoorDash is looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial Go-to-Market & Monetization Lead to drive growth for DoorDash Occasions and strengthen consumer and merchant engagement. In this role, you will own and evolve the monetization strategy for seasonal and cultural moments, supporting the creation of advertiser packages, sales narratives, and go-to-market plays that unlock new revenue opportunities while meeting brand objectives.
You’ll work hand-in-hand with Sales, Sales Marketing, and Ads & Promos to partner in crafting sales enablement materials that are occasion-specific, helping teams better articulate the value of these campaigns to advertisers. At the same time, you’ll serve as a cross-functional advocate for Occasions, partnering with New Verticals, Product, Finance, and Marketing to secure funding, unlock placements, and influence roadmaps so these moments are fully supported across the business.
Beyond launch, you’ll develop and track dedicated Occasions KPIs and reporting frameworks, analyzing campaign performance to refine strategies and maximize advertiser value, while driving impact for merchants and consumers alike. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, sales, and execution, with the opportunity to directly shape one of DoorDash’s most exciting growth areas.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Occasions in our Consumer Experience Strategy & Operations organization.
You’Re Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will…
- Build & Own – Crafting a framework for approaching Occasions GTM strategy and monetization will not be easy. You must be comfortable with ambiguity & embrace the challenge of having multiple paths forward and many right answers.
- Operate at the Lowest Level of Detail – You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you’re just as comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a cross-functional team.
- Creatively Problem Solve – You’re a creative problem-solver who enjoys operating at the intersection of strategy and execution. Your job will be to make sure we create a best in class experience that delights our customers and creates value for every advertiser.
- Lead & Advocate – This will be a major focus area for DoorDash in 2026 and beyond, and this leader will play a critical role in shaping how we build and scale. They must be able to advocate for the business, measure success, ask for help when needed, and lead team members across functions—including Ads, Marketing, Product, and Analytics—to deliver results.
We’Re Excited About You Because…
- You are entrepreneurial. You crave responsibility and want to shape the vision and next direction for Occasions. You don't hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you're just as comfortable thinking long-term and inspiring a team.
- You're a strong operator. You have a talent for managing complex projects and enjoy implementing processes & building playbooks to increase efficiency. You roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to make things successful.
- You love collaboration. You’ll partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance to bring bold ideas to life, ultimately driving more value for both our consumers and merchants.
- You’re unafraid of ambiguity. Rapid change and learning is exciting to you, and you thrive in ambiguous, startup environments
- You have 5+ years of experience in program management, partnerships, go-to-market strategy or monetization roles (preferably within consumer tech or marketplaces).
