Job Summary
We’re looking for a full-time, staff Sr. Director, Supply Chain MC to join our Day & Zimmermann team. The Sr. Director, Supply Chain for MC EPC and Capital Projects is responsible for leading the supply chain strategy and execution across complex, large-scale engineering, procurement, and construction programs; ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality procurements, subcontracts, materials and fleet management throughout the lifecycle of M&M, capital and EPC projects, from early design through commissioning and handover.
Responsibilities
As the Sr. Director, Supply Chain MC, here’s the work you’ll do:
- The Sr. Director, Supply Chain MC defines and implements end-to-end supply chain strategies tailored to EPC and capital project execution. Aligns procurements, subcontracts, logistics, and materials management plans with project milestones and budgets. Serves as a key member of the projects’ leadership team to include frequent interfacing with engineering, construction, finance, project management and project controls.
- Leads project procurement planning, including long-lead equipment, bulk materials, and subcontracted services. Manages competitive bidding, contract negotiations, awards, and supplier relationship management for high-value and critical-path packages. Ensures alignment with project scope, technical requirements, and compliance standards (e.g., HSE, QA/QC, local content, etc.).
- Provides guidance and oversight with global logistics strategies for multi-modal transportation, warehousing, and just-in-time deliveries including material readiness, expediting, and supplier performance to prevent schedule delays. Accountable for delivering robust systems for material traceability, site receiving, storage, and issuance.
- Identifies supply chain risks and leads the development of mitigation strategies related to market volatility, supplier insolvency, or geopolitical issues. Supports claims avoidance and resolution in supply and subcontract agreements. Monitors cost performance and contributes to project financial reviews.
- Manages the MC Supply Chain organization including performance management, provides growth and development opportunities and coaching to maximize team performance, deliverables and effectiveness.
- Establishes and manages strategic business relationships with MC M&M, Fossil, Nuclear, Renewables & Industrial clients via regular meetings to review quarterly performance; Manages the MC Supply Chain team to promote stronger supplier relationships as related to administrative and operational activities; Identifies, tracks, and mitigates key risks related to Supply Chain partners; Reports results and identifies, drives and delivers "Best Practice" opportunities for improvements on a consistent basis.
This Role Is For You If You Have These Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of project procurement lifecycles, commercial contract structures, and supply chain risk management, with hands-on experience in leveraging integrated project delivery tools such as SAP and Primavera.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with business leaders/partners and effectively communicate at all stages of evaluation, execution and closeout; Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships in a matrixed organization.
- Proven experience and passion for building and leading high-performing teams with measurable results, while effectively serving as a change agent. Demonstrated ability to consistently manage multiple high-priority initiatives, providing effective leadership in high-pressure, schedule-driven environments. Strong interpersonal skills with a talent for cultivating relationships across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management, with a strong track record in strategic sourcing of engineered equipment and global services. Proven commercial acumen combined with the ability to drive change management initiatives, ensuring cost-effective procurement solutions and alignment with organizational goals.
- Strong commitment to safety, ethics, and sustainability, supported by working knowledge of ISO 9001 , ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
And If You Have These Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience progressive supply chain leadership experience in EPC, infrastructure, or industrial capital projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- MBA or equivalent professional work experience preferred.
- Great attitude and team player.
- Successful completion of background screening and drug process.

Compensation And Benefits
In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $200,647.00 - $300,970.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
