Full Time

Techary redefines the way customers procure, implement, and support their organisations' technology, providing an innovative alternative to the traditional Managed Service Provider (MSP) / Value-Added Reseller (VAR) approach.

Our concept, “Technology, done differently”, embodies our belief that the way our customers consume and utilize technology should innovate at the same pace as the technology itself.

Our customers range from small start-ups to global enterprises. From designing, deploying and managing infrastructure stacks within low-latency financial trading environments, to relocating the headquarters of a global fintech firm, our operations span multiple markets, industries and geographies.

Techary have helped customers scale their operations globally, gain an advantage in financial markets, enabled mission-critical projects and, most importantly, implemented technology that delivers alpha-accelerating business transformation.

The Role

As a Project Lead, you will be responsible for delivering complex network and data centre installation projects from design through to completion. You will manage all on-site technical and delivery activities, ensuring installations meet design intent, industry standards, and client expectations. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring a strong background in structured cabling, network hardware deployment, and physical infrastructure installation within technical environments such as data centres, comms rooms, and enterprise networks.

Duties & Responsibilities

Project Delivery
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of network and data centre installation projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
  • Join internal and customer calls to scope projects.
  • Interpret and validate design documentation (rack elevations, cabling schedules, layouts, and patching diagrams).
  • Plan and manage site works including cabling routes, containment installation, rack builds, and equipment mounting.
  • Coordinate field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain smooth on-site execution.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation — drawings, change logs, test results, and handover packs.
  • Drive commissioning and validation processes, including cable testing and physical network turn-up.
  Technical Oversight
  • Provide engineering input during project planning, including design reviews and build methodology.
  • Ensure all installations conform to relevant client standards.
  • Supervise and support installation engineers during structured cabling, fibre termination, and patching works.
  • Oversee quality assurance — conducting inspections, snagging, and compliance checks.
  • Ensure accurate redlining and as-built documentation are delivered to the client.
  Project Management
  • Build and manage project programmes, resource schedules, and cost tracking.
  • Report progress, risks, and dependencies to the senior project team.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, vendors, and clients to ensure alignment on technical scope and delivery milestones.
  • Lead site coordination meetings and communicate technical updates effectively.
  • Proactively identify and resolve delivery challenges or scope variations.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience leading network or data centre installation projects, ideally within structured cabling or physical infrastructure environments.
  • Strong understanding of cabling systems (Cat6A, OM4/OS2 fibre), pathways, containment, and rack build standards.
  • Experienced in reading and producing technical documentation including MOPs, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Practical knowledge of testing, labelling, and commissioning processes.
  • Confident leading teams of engineers and subcontractors on live sites.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Working knowledge of project documentation / programmes.

Desirable Skills

  • Structured cabling certifications.
  • Project management qualifications.
  • Experience delivering within live or Tier-rated data centre environments.
  • CAD literacy for interpreting and redlining technical drawings.
  • Flexibility to work out of hours as paid overtime due to the nature of some works.

Personal Attributes

  • Technically competent and detail-driven.
  • Clear communicator — able to translate between engineering, delivery, and client teams.
  • Decisive and proactive under pressure.
  • Passionate about quality, standards, and safety.
  • Strong leadership presence on-site and capable of motivating teams.
