OpenTeams Incubator is looking to find a full-time remote Human Resources Coordinator to join our team of industry-leading talent acquisition professionals. We are an experienced group with BIG dreams so there is a lot of opportunity to grow! We are headquartered in Austin, TX but we are a distributed team so the position is remote. U.S. Central Time zone friendly preferred.

Role Overview:

As a Remote Human Resources Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting our distributed workforce. You will be responsible for a range of HR activities, including but not limited to employee onboarding/offboarding, HRIS management, benefits administration, payroll support, and ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and possess a strong understanding of HR best practices.

What You’Ll Do:

  • Manage the full cycle of employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience for all employees.
  • Utilize HRIS systems, preferably ADP WorkforceNow, to maintain accurate employee records, generate reports, and streamline HR processes.
  • Provide support for benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries, while serving as a point of contact for employees.
  • Assist in payroll processing and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with state and federal employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all HR practices and policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address HR-related inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Support HR initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing the employee experience and promoting a positive workplace culture.
  • Prepare offer letters and addendums.
  • Equipment and reimbursement policy management.
  • Maintain and audit HR google drive, including employee files.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in a small business or start-up environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, with experience working specifically with ADP WorkforceNow preferred.
  • Strong understanding of employee onboarding/offboarding processes and best practices.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration, payroll support, and state and federal employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a customer-service mindset and a willingness to take initiative.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaborate effectively with remote team members.
