About This Role:
Axsome Therapeutics is seeking an Associate, Supply Chain to support the coordination and execution of supply chain and logistics activities, ensuring continuity of both commercial and clinical material supply. This role will be responsible for maintaining multi-echelon supply plans, facilitating effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders, key suppliers and CMOs, performing inventory analysis, and managing exceptions.
Additionally, the Associate, Supply Chain will contribute to master data management, change control activities and development of supply chain processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with country-specific regulations, GxP standards, and financial requirements. This position will report directly to the VP, Supply Chain and will work cross-functionally with Finance, Quality, CMC, Regulatory and Commercial, as well as multiple external supplier organizations.
This role is based at Axsome’s HQ in New York City with an on-site requirement of at least three days per week. We are unable to consider candidates who are looking for fully remote roles.
Job Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintain the centralized supply planning tools and planning parameters for all Axsome’s commercial products
- Ensure accurate and feasible time-phased supply plans (for finished goods and drug products) as well as purchase plans (for APIs and excipients) based on the most current demand forecast and inventory position
- Provide vendors with rolling production forecasts and release Purchase Orders in accordance with the binding window agreement
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure on time and in full deliveries as per POs released.
- Arrange/monitor shipments and ensure efficient and timely material movement to support production and distribution activities
- Monitor usage of Axsome-owned materials at all contract manufacturing, packaging and 3PL locations; report any excess and under usage of components beyond established norms
- Manage effective communication channels with external vendors and drive early issue identification and resolution
- Support supply-related Change Control processes using Veeva Vault, ensuring GxP compliance across all international supply activities
- Support development of accurate supply chain documentation, including end-to-end supply chain process definition, Master Product Data Sheets, batch tracking and product genealogy
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline global operations in a virtual environment
- Perform timely inventory transactions in the Supply Chain ERP system and support month-end financial closing activities as needed
- Perform periodical inventory counts at third party locations and reconcile mismatches as needed
- Perform data analysis and prepare reports for S&OP and executive meetings
- Assist with documenting and maintaining Supply Chain/Quality processes and SOPs
- Assist with serialization system implementation and ongoing validation activities
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned when the need arises
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree, including MBA, or master’s in supply chain management or related fields is a plus
- Minimum 6 months - 1 year of relevant experience in supply chain management
- Ability to work on site Monday, Tuesday & Thursday. We are unable to consider candidates who are looking for fully remote roles
Experience And Knowledge:
- Experience using advanced methods and tools to drive supply chain optimization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent execution skills
- Excellent sense of urgency to complete critical tasks and achieve milestones.
- Self-motivated, adaptable to a dynamic environment
- Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced company environment and able to adjust workload and take on additional responsibilities based upon changing priorities and business needs.
Salary And Benefits:
The anticipated salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000. We encourage candidates of all levels to apply as there may be flexibility on final job title and responsibilities. The salary offer will be based on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, internal equity and location.
