If so, we invite you to join our team as a Commercial Lines Account Executive (AE) in our Woodridge, IL office.

As a key member of our team, you’ll provide outstanding service to our valued clients while helping expand our book of business through proactive relationship management, account rounding, and referrals—all while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Client Service & Retention

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned commercial lines clients, providing prompt and professional assistance on quotes, endorsements, certificates, renewals, and policy inquiries.
  • Identify and assess client needs to ensure satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Lead client meetings and renewal discussions, presenting proposals and negotiating terms with carriers as needed.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all material communications with clients and carriers regarding exposures, coverages, and renewals.

Sales & Growth

  • Support agency growth by identifying coverage gaps and opportunities for account rounding and additional lines (EPL, Crime, Cyber, etc.).
  • Secure existing business and sell new accounts aligned with agency and individual goals.
  • Work with clients on new business referrals and incoming opportunities under $50,000 in premium.
  • Meet monthly new business revenue goals through a variety of sources (referrals, niche marketing, digital outreach, and other prospecting activities).

Collaboration & Process Management

  • Partner with the Account Manager and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and timely follow-up.
  • Adhere to agency procedures (including the SIA 360 Insurance System) and maintain high standards for accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Coordinate with accounting and claims teams to resolve client issues when necessary.
  • Participate in periodic service calls and ensure timely preparation of renewal and continuation materials.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of client service experience in commercial lines insurance.
  • Active Property & Casualty License (required).
  • Experience with Applied Epic or AMS360 strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and relationship development.
