Senior Engineer, Advanced People Flow Solutions

We design and develop KONE solutions for customer specific needs, and you’ll play a key role by bringing your expertise to our team.

We are looking for a Senior Engineer, Advanced People Flow Solutions!

In the role you’ll have an opportunity to collaborate closely together with our engineering teams, KONE Front Lines, KONE R&D, tendering and supply management and production. We expect you to work with the stakeholders and be able to ensure reliable and cost competitive solutions for our customers.

As a Senior Engineer, you will work mainly with following topics

• Analyze customer and consultant specifications related to Advanced People Flow solutions
• Design project specific solution and create relevant customer approval documents
• Support our tendering teams in defining KONE solutions
• Manage the quality of the solutions throughout the customer projects
• Facilitate design quality reviews and ensure alignment with solution architecture
• Collaborate with R&D on new product development by prioritizing the identified customer needs
• Provide trainings and support other engineering teams with your expertise
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders (KONE supply line, R&D, front line, third parties, customers)
• Serve as point of contact for APF related questions from front line or customer

Education and core skills

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent area
• 5+ years of technical background in software or electrical engineering
• Self-driven team player with good collaboration, networking and influencing skills
• Problem solving skills and ability to make informed decisions
• Customer orientation and innovation skills
• Good skills in English
• Ability to work under pressure

Following skills are asset

• Knowledge of APF solutions (Monitoring solutions, Access control, Destination control…)
• Knowledge of Electrical engineering tools (e.g. Svertex, Autocad, EPLAN)
• Expertise in Electrical engineering and/or Software engineering
• Knowledge of manufacturing and operational processes
• Understanding of elevator system and sub-systems
• Experience of Lean, Six sigma and Agile practices and ways of working
