Raytheon has an opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join the Advanced Electronics Sub Assembly (AES) Factory. The Supervisor will provide day-to-day leadership for the AES GFM Depot Repair value stream. This role will focus on Exciter repair and associated Patriot system components, ensuring safety, complaint, and efficient execution of repairs while driving throughput, WIP visibility, average time reduction, and second pass yield improvements.
This Supervisor will serve as the front-line leader, directly supervising assemblers and technicians coordinating with Program as well as leading PC, ME, QE, and TE support functions. This position is critical to lead a dedicated GFM repair team and creating an operating rhythm that aligns with depot repair priorities and customer delivery expectations.
What You Will Do
- Team Leadership & Execution
- Supervise day-to-day execution of Exciter and related Patriot repairs across all shifts.
- Lead daily stand-ups, pass downs, and production meetings with the GFM team.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback to technicians, ensuring adherence to standard work and compliance requirements.
- Throughput & WIP Management
- Monitor repair WIP daily using visual management and trackers; ensure accurate staging of “Ready for Test,” “Waiting on Parts,” and “Engineering Hold” units.
- Partner with PC to drive on-time kit availability and reduce material shortages.
- Coordinate with ME/QE/TE on bottlenecks, cycle-time/average barriers, and technical escalations.
- Operational Excellence
- Champion Lean principles: 5S, tiered accountability (Tier 1–2), visual management boards, inch-stone planning.
- Drive root cause problem solving for downtime and rework.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Escalate technical issues to ME/TE quickly; ensure closure of open actions.
- Partner with QE on quality escapes, test station reliability, and process adherence.
- Performance Metrics & Reporting
- Track and report daily/weekly/monthly KPIs: throughput, WIP aging, second-pass yield, repair cycle time/average.
- Identify trends and recommend corrective actions to leadership.
- Support preparation for customer reviews, leadership deep dives, and internal audits.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and 3 years of experience.
- Supervisory or leadership experience is required.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Strong understanding of operations, test processes, and cross-functional coordination.
- Proven success implementing tiered accountability and visual management.
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional support teams PC, ME, QE, TE.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Active U.S. Security Clearance or ability to obtain/maintain one.
- Prior Raytheon or defense industry experience.
- Familiarity with SAP/PRISM, WIP trackers, and government property accountability.
- Experience leading in high-mix, low-volume environments

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
