Raytheon is seeking an Industrial Engineer Intern to provide factory support at our Tucson, AZ facilities. Industrial Engineers are responsible for Labor Performance Analyses, Process and Value Stream Mapping, Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layouts, Factory Simulations, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Continuous Improvement, and more. What You Will Do:
- Identify throughput constraints by performing capacity, simulation, what-if scenario analysis
- Drive factory improvement project priorities through the use of analytical tools
- Coordinate factory capability needs for yield improvements and new technology
- Identify and participate in improvement projects to support constraint elimination
- Apply Six Sigma and Lean Principles to include the use of value stream maps, line balancing, and error proofing
- Support manufacturing objectives for cost, quality, on time delivery and safety
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Candidate must be enrolled and pursuing a BA, BS, or Masters degree in the area of Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related Engineering field by Summer 2026
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- The ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF)
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
- Strong knowledge of and experience in Microsoft Office tools
- Strong ability to work in teams and collaborate with peers and internal customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills – comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative data

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
