Introduction
In the Mechanical Layout NXE team, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and future-readiness of mechanical interfaces within EUV large frame systems. You will lead investigations into interface obsolescence by analyzing technical documentation, 2D and 3D models, and engaging with cross-functional stakeholders. Your work will directly contribute to improving the traceability, accuracy, and maintainability of interface data across the organization.
Your Assignment
- Conduct deep-dive analyses of EUV large frame interfaces to identify obsolete or at-risk components.
- Review and interpret existing documentation, CAD models, and mechanical layouts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, and configuration management to validate findings.
- Perform on-site visits to the EUV Factory to confirm interface configurations and deviations.
- Investigate current methods used for documenting mechanical interfaces within the ML domain.
- Explore and evaluate the use of 3D software tools for interface documentation.
- Select or develop a standardized method for documenting interfaces in 3D environments.
- Mature the selected method into a scalable process applicable across departments and projects.
- Support the integration of the new documentation process into existing PLM and configuration management systems.
Your Profile
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Is pursuing a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, System engineering, Automotive engineering or similar.
- Has experience with 3D modeling with Siemens NX
- Has experience with 2D drawings for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Is collaborative and has strong stakeholder management skills
This is an apprentice internship with a duration of five to six months, starting in February 2026.
Other Requirements You Need To Meet
- You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
- You need to be located in the Netherlands to be able to perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
- If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
