The Ideal Candidate Would Be Confident In Rooming Patients, Assisting In Surgery, Surgery Recovery, Placing Iv Catheters, Drawing Blood And Running Bloodwork, Have Knowledge Of X-Ray And Positioning, Experience With Proper Animal Handling And Restraint, Able To Use In-House Laboratory Equipment, Understanding The Importance Of Client Education, And Is A Positive And Supportive Team Player. Requirements
- 1+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Knowledge of vaccines and proper administration
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Experience dispensing and administering medications
- Able to obtain a complete patient history and maintain treatment records
- Pharmacology calculations and surgical experience (prep, monitoring, recovery, etc.)
- Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Positive team-player willing to continue to learn
