Your new team - Maternity Cover - Fixed Term Contract
The Customer Marketing on-trade team sits within Brand in Hand team within Pernod Ricard UK’s Commercial team, forming the link between Marketing and Commercial. It consolidates multiple disciplines which are an integral part of our Go to Market formula and Integrated Business way of working.
The key purpose of this role is to be part of Customer Marketing Executives and Managers to develop the relevant
investment and activation strategy to create world class customer marketing plans across Pernod Ricard UK’s Wine, Spirits and Champagne portfolio. The plan will marry up both brand and customer strategies with the most effective and innovative marketing solutions for mutual growth.
Critical to the success of this role will be turning category & consumer insight into compelling activation that considers the consumer’s path to purchase and how to best motivate conversion and advocacy at critical moments in the consumer’s purchasing decisions and consumption moments
Your team will be at the forefront of the path to purchase creating disruptive activation in key flagship brand venues, in key city centres across the UK, driving consumer footfall and purchase through advocacy, activation and digital amplification.
Your unique contribution - Maternity Cover - Fixed Term Contract
You will have four main areas of responsibility:
- 1. Marketing Activation Plan: Lead the development of customer marketing plans, brands dependent upon role; with key internal stakeholders and managing key agency relationships as well as managing the development and implementation of key customer marketing plans. Manage an integrated customer activity calendar; making recommendations for investment choices on a quarterly basis (in line with LE reviews)
- 2. Evaluation: proactively contribute to an evaluation culture; adopting a framework for activity evaluation and developing key learnings which can be acted upon to deliver better execution. Lead the evaluation of key customer marketing activities; based on sales uplift, ROI, brand objectives and KPI’s
- 3. Tools: Proactively make recommendations for the development of key customer selling tools (i.e selling decks, brand fact sheets) to support sell-in of brand initiatives. Deliver category/channel-based presentations for key customer reviews (i.e Brand Planning Days, Sales cycle). Lead the development of price tracking tools for use across customer & brand teams
- 4. Finance: Responsible for customer marketing budget for your dedicated brand as well as monthly reconciliation of A&P spend.

Internally, you’ll work with field sales managers, BDE’s, CAE’s, RBM’s, brand team, sales team, category management team and the finance department
Externally, your contacts will be the customer, key agencies, and stakeholders

- Clear communications skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and customers
