The Associate Director, Product Development (PD) will be responsible for all technical implementation of products, including both Day-1 and Day-2.

The role will also work extensively with all stakeholders across the company to devise and implement new product solutions and ensure all technical aspects of the products are discussed and understood by other functions.

The product solutions need to be guided by the principles “change the way people feel about insurance”, while also balancing costs and benefits.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead the implementation of assigned product initiatives.
• Lead the preparation of all product-related documents including Operational

Specifications (Op Specs)

• Communicate and train other stakeholders on the OP specs
• Liaise between Actuarial team and IT/OP team to ensure all technical items are

captured by the IT/OP processes

· Support Actuarial team for MOF submission/approval documentation such

as Terms & Conditions, Sale illustrations, etc.

• Advise actuarial and product proposition team on feasibility of features and product rules
• Support/ Review the development of product communication materials such as training, brochures, and website content.
• Lead the team to manage Day-1 items and ensure products are launched with a clear checklist of all necessary requirements for launch.
• Lead the team to manage Day-2 items and propose product offerings for

corporate deals to meet channels, partners, and customers’ need/requirement.

• Manage team members, if any, to achieve the team & company targets.
• Other tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications / Experience:

• University Degree in a business-related discipline.
• At least 15 years of working experience in product development, and product marketing for the financial service industry.
• An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
• Fluently speaking and writing English and Vietnamese.

Knowledge & Technical Skills:

• Good analytical skills – the ability to work with numbers, and facts effectively. · Good organization and time/project management.
• Good writing and presentation skills.
• Good understanding of life insurance operational and technical areas is an advantage.
• Innovative and willing to explore new things.
• Able to work well with a wide range of people from different parts of the business.
• Energetic and passionate about their product specialty.
• Able to work well under pressure · Have a customer focused mind-set.
