Job Summary

Job Description

DUTIES:                               Contribute to a team responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving software issues within the RDK (Reference Design Kit) platform; write and maintain scripts using C and C++ to automate tasks; perform data analysis using Python; troubleshoot issues in embedded systems using Linux OS; perform log management and system monitoring using Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Splunk; diagnose and resolve issues related to network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP; work with AWS; engage in proactive and reactive analysis of field issues, ensuring product quality by identifying and resolving key issues; create and maintain in-house tools that automate the triage process, contributing to streamlined operations; facilitate faster CPE firmware release rollouts with a focus on enhancing user experience; prioritize issues, set SLAs for Dev fixes, conduct QA validation, oversee release rollouts, and direct non-CPE issues to respective teams; conduct in-depth analyses of issues, including source code level analysis, to identify root causes and implement effective solutions; handle Incident Management, war rooms, and faster identification of the trigger components; collaborate with Development, Release Management, and QA teams; keep current with technological developments within the industry; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; and review literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

REQUIREMENTS:             Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, any Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience writing and maintaining scripts using C and C++ to automate tasks; performing data analysis using Python; troubleshooting issues in embedded systems using Linux OS; performing log management and system monitoring using Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Splunk; diagnosing and resolving issues related to network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP; of which one (1) year includes working with AWS
