We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our team. In this role you will be a change agent by working on the TFM2 contract. TFM2 provides modernization and life cycle support of Information Technology infrastructure that host national implementation of the FAA's Traffic Flow Management (TFM) functionality. It also focuses on long term engineering services and the development of new functional enhancements that increase the capability of Traffic Flow Management.

HOW A SOFTWARE ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Assist with the release management process, ensuring smooth and controlled deployment of software releases
  • Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain algorithmic and mathematical solutions.
  • Develop applications to solve highly complex technical challenges
  • Develop test harnesses to support software testing
  • Provide software support for a real-time air traffic management system
  • Debug software problems and provide solutions
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, software requirements, layouts, and code comments
  • Document verification and validation of solution sets and protocols
  • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with software standards

What You’Ll Need To Succeed:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field)    

Required Experience:

  • Ten (10) years of related experience

Security Clearance Level:

  • Must be clearable for a position of Public Trust and standard background investigation check

Work Location:

  • Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey

Required Skills And Abilities:

  • Experience implementing GUIs with Swing
  • Experience with ORM frameworks (Eclipselink, Hibernate)
  • Experience using C/C++
  • Experience working within an Agile development environment
  • Experience implementing various software life cycles including Agile/Scrum
  • Experience with Ansible and/or containerization/virtualization desired (ex: Docker, Podman, Skopeo, Buildah, Kubernetes, Openshift)
  • Strong Linux knowledge/experience
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL, XML JSON, YAML, and experience with relational databases
  • Demonstrated strength in solving complex problems
  • Cloud experience

Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
