Caregiver – Part-Time (St. Francis, WI) Join Our Caring Team at Assisting Hands Home Care – Central Milwaukee

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to provide one-on-one support for a female client in St. Francis, WI. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in someone’s daily life by helping her maintain comfort, safety, and independence at home.

📅 Schedule:

• Every Saturday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
• Every other Sunday: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM and 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Assist with bathing and showers
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Help with dressing and personal grooming
• Grocery shopping and meal preparation
• Support with incontinence care and catheter management
• Assist with mobility using a Hoyer lift and power wheelchair
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a safe home environment
• Schedule and accompany to physician or lab appointments
• Support the client with disabilities and daily living activities
• Ensure safe use of assistive equipment and proper transfers
• Be comfortable around cats

About the Client:Our client is a kind and loving woman with limited range of motion and mobility challenges. She uses a power wheelchair, Hoyer lift, and tub bench. She requires full assistance with transfers, meal preparation, and household tasks. She lives alone and values companionship and dependable care.

Requirements:

• Previous caregiving experience preferred (paid or unpaid)
• Reliable, patient, and attentive to details
• Able to assist with mobility, transfers, and lifting using a Hoyer lift
• Must have an insured car and a valid driver’s license
• Comfortable around cats
• Compassionate and dedicated to improving the quality of life for others
