Cae Hardware Engineer

Description:

We are currently looking for a CAE Signalling Engineer to join the CAE team in Hitachi Rail Romania. The role is full-time and permanent. As Hardware Engineer in the CAE team you will, together with the team, be responsible for the configuration of site/station specific data for electronic interlocking, train control system and Traffic Management System based in alignment with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities And Tasks:

  • Prepare PT2 hardware design of indoor and outdoor equipment for the complete system and products
  • Materialization of needed hardware.
  • Creation of documents for installation, manufacturing, validation and acceptance.
  • Design for complex projects based on customer requirements (PT1)
  • Liaise with other departments internally and project groups in Signalling Programme
  • Take part in the continuous improvement of the engineering process, and tools to reduce effort and improve quality
  • Participation in offer preparation for work packages in your area of responsibility
  • Materialisation of required equipment for the production process
  • Creation of the site specific drawings for assembly, installation, test and commissioning as well as validation and approval
  • Verification of Engineering Data
  • Participation in definition of the system concept
  • Delivery of design documentation as input for installation, validation, test and commissioning
  • Minimise the data iterations to avoid rework in the following processes
  • Participate in verification/peer reviews
  • Produce and manage the baselines
  • Analyse and correct defects

Technical:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Electronics, Engineering or Information Technology
  • Basic/Advanced knowledge of railway operation and signaling advantageous
  • Basic/Advanced knowledge of L90/L905 desirable
  • Understanding and interpretation of the Customer specific input documents (PT1) advantageous.
  • Knowledge about L905 and/or RBC, and/or TMS is a plus
  • PC knowledge (MS Office, CAD-Programme)
  • Strong understanding of configuration management

Languages (specify the level needed) :     

  • English on professional level
  • German is beneficial
