Pay Range
$50.05 - $75.10Major Responsibilities:
- Safety & Culture Leadership Champion best practices in aviation safety and mission readiness. Collaborate with safety officers, Mobile Medicine leaders, and vendors to implement AMRM/CRM protocols, lead event reviews, and promote a just culture.
- Operational Excellence & Base Support Build strong relationships with MedCenter Air, AirCare and all aviation personnel while prioritizing program-wide efficiency. Monitor maintenance and staffing schedules to optimize aircraft availability and reduce out-of-service time. Develop actionable plans for leadership to ensure consistent availability and reduce administrative burden.
- Data-Driven Strategy Analyze operational data to identify gaps and develop meaningful metrics that inform strategic decisions and future planning.
- Fleet & Maintenance Coordination Drive standardization of airframes across programs to enhance cross-functional compatibility. Coordinate with vendors to align maintenance schedules and minimize service disruptions.
- Growth & Asset Planning Support senior leadership in evaluating and acquiring aviation assets, equipment, and real estate to expand service capabilities.
- Strategic Expansion Assess new base opportunities and reevaluate current locations based on historical volume, population trends, and healthcare access in underserved areas.
- Dispatch & Utilization Collaborate with communications center leadership to refine aircraft utilization processes and coordination with customers and operational control centers.
- External Partnerships & Customer Experience Maintain relationships with neighboring programs and facilities to improve helipad safety and enhance customer experience. Partner with business development to position the program as an industry leader.
- Contract & Vendor Management Advise and assist in the negotiation of aviation and maintenance agreements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational standards.
- Responsible for accountability standards for performance through metrics, ongoing relationships management with vendor executive leadership.
- Continuous Improvement & Quality Assurance Lead process improvement initiatives and quality assurance efforts to enhance safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Responsible for ensuring industry best practices related to safety and operations by attending safety operations trainings and updates; and ensuring compliance.
- Participate in MedCenter Air Operator's Association and other relevant industry associations.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’S Degree Required.
Certification / Registration / License
Must have certification as FAA Pilot or Maintenance certification, CMTE, or MTSP-C.
Experience
Previous work for an air medical Part 135 operator (rotor-wing or fixed-wing); roles may include leadership, pilot, mechanic, or clinician. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in medical transportation system; 2 years of management experience.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Knowledge of rotor-wing and fixed-wing operations required.
- Ability to work across, and provide leadership to, disciplines involved in air medical transport, including clinical, aviation, maintenance, communications, and administrative departments.
Preferred Job Requirements
Education
Master’S Degree Preferred.
Certification / Registration / License
Additional certifications in related field preferred.
