Role Description:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership and mentoring in a technology-driven environment, with a strong focus within Manufacturing and Supply Chain applications. This person will play a key role in our global ERP transformation initiative, focused on enabling next-generation digital capabilities in pharmaceutical manufacturing. This role will lead the design, deployment, and validation of SAP S/4HANA solutions across core PTS areas: Production Planning (PP), Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS), Quality Management (QM), Supply chain Collaboration(SCC), and Master Data Management responsible for overseeing and ensuring the success of the end-to-end solution delivery and process design. This role is critical to driving digital transformation across our end-to-end manufacturing and supply planning processes and ensuring strong integration with procurement, logistics, and enterprise master data standards.  

The ideal candidate will serve as a functional thought leader and integration architect, partnering with global supply chain, manufacturing, and quality teams to enable scalable, compliant, and efficient operations using SAP S/4HANA and related technologies. This person will be involved in recommending the most appropriate technology application for the client based on business requirements and transformation needs. The candidate should be a self-starter and have a strong passion for fostering innovation and excellence in the biotechnology industry.  Additionally, collaboration with cross-functional and global teams is required to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence.  

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the global functional lead for Plant-to-Stock processes in the ERP implementation program, driving solution design, data harmonization, and deployment across sites. 
  • Provide functional leadership and best practice expertise across SAP PP (Planning strategies, BOMs, routings, capacity planning), SAP PP/DS (Detailed scheduling, production planning heuristics), SAP QM (Inspection plans, quality notifications, test results recording), Master Data (Material Master, BOMs, Work Centers, Recipes, Inspection Characteristics) 
  • Lead and/or support the delivery of SAP P2S projects, rollouts, and enhancements—from requirements through configuration, testing, and deployment. 
  • Coordinate cross-functional integration with adjacent SAP modules (MM, SD, EWM, PM) and advanced planning tools (e.g., IBP, MES). 
  • Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders in Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain Planning to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Facilitate workshops, gap analysis, and future-state design sessions to shape effective SAP solutions. 
  • Support change management, user training, and adoption across impacted sites. 
  • Ability to analyse supply chain operational data, to identify opportunities and develop insights to ttranslate business requirements into clear fit gat analysis and technology implementation strategies for business transformation 
  • Ensure compliance with GxP, SOX, and data governance standards for all processes and master data objects under your remit. 
  • Define and maintain plant-to-stock KPIs, documentation standards, and functional specifications. 
  • Develop talent, motivate the team, delegate effectively, champion diversity within the team and act as a role model of servant leadership.  
  • Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams, including those in the US and other international locations

  • Ensure ongoing alignment with strategy, compliance, and regulatory requirements for technology investments and services 

Basic Qualifications And Experience:

  • 12 - 17 years of experience in Supply Chain Technology, Supply Chain Business, Engineering, IT or related field OR 

Functional Skills:

Must-Have Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience with SAP PP, PP/DS, SCC, and QM in a manufacturing or life sciences environment. 
  • Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA or ECC transformation projects 
  • Deep functional expertise in end-to-end plant-to-stock processes and integration with planning, execution, and quality modules. 
  • Knowledge of Advanced Planning (PPDS/IBP) and Master Data Governance (MDG) concepts. 
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with global business and IT teams. 
  • Familiarity with validated systems and computer system validation (CSV) practices. 
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive consensus, and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight timelines. 
  • Facilitating business process design, requirements gathering, conducting fit gap analysis and ability to design technical solutions leveraging Maestro (RapidResponse) capabilities. 
  • Provides architecture guidance on individual system designs; Architect designs and solutions to support the realization of supply chain planning functionalities using Kinaxis RapidResponse platform 
  • Develop and maintain System Architecture models (e.g. System Interaction diagrams) and reference implementations within systems of record (e.g. Portfolio Management and Enterprise Architecture tools) 
  • Design and deploy the latest technology like advanced analytics, AI, machine learning to advance our Supply Chain and solve complex challenges (e.g., inventory optimization, MPS with capacity constraints) - Identity and implement continuous process improvements. 
  • Ability to translate the enterprise’s aspirations for information sharing into the reality of detailed actions in the supply chain, quality, and IS organizations, including an understanding of data modeling, data quality, data management strategy to support business needs, data access methods, and approaches and experience in data access systems for use in the pharmaceutical industry 

Good-To-Have Skills:

  • Health Cloud and Lifesciences Cloud hands on experience 
  • Working knowledge of integrations suite using API’s or 3rd party integration software like Talend, MuleSoft, Data Lake and Data Fabrics etc  
  • Extensive experience in software development lifecycle 
  • Experience using and adoption of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) 
  • Established business partnerships and IS governance practices involving senior business stakeholders 
  • Broad working knowledge of key IS domains and layers 
  • Understanding of FDA regulations governing computer system validation and operation 
  • Familiarity with security requirements and best practices for data at rest and in transit  
  • Success in mentoring and developing strong product analysts, business analysts, and developers 

Professional Certifications:

  • SAP certification in SAP MFG, PP, PPDS or QM preferred 
  • Any relevant supply chain specific certifications like APICS (CSCP, CPIM) 
  • ITIL, PMP, or Six Sigma certifications are advantageous
