The Opportunity

TC Energy is looking to add a Supply Chain Analyst to our US Material Procurement & Expediting team in Charleston, WV. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Material Procurement & Expediting, the succesful candidate will be responsible for the procurement of materials by assigned commodity, managing the full sourcing lifecycle including RFx development, commercial evaluations, and supplier negotiations. This individual Acts as the single point of contact for purchase orders, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders and maintaining accurate SAP records.

What You'Ll Do

• Procurement of materials by assigned commodity, with varying levels of complexity
• Conduct commercial evaluations of quotes.  Uses analysis in negotiations with suppliers 
• Develop, issue, and manage RFx 
• Single point of contact (SPOC) pertaining to purchase orders within area of responsibility  
• Liaise with suppliers and other internal stakeholders (Supplier Qualifications, Engineering, Project team, Legal, Risk, etc.) as required  
• Understands standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions  
• Ensure all relevant information is received to maintain SAP records  
• Executes cost savings/cost avoidance opportunities, process efficiencies
• Interacts with colleagues in AP to routinely resolve invoice exceptions
• Make recommendations to business partners regarding cost drivers, supplier performance etc. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Team player, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills  
• Three years Procurement experience purchasing natural gas equipment
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management   
• Proven experience in developing relationships with a variety of stakeholders     
• Ability to work independently and remotely 
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results and achieve goals     
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment     

Preferred Qualifications

• Able to work under tight deadlines and demonstrates strong time management and priority setting skills. 
• Commercial experience in materials and services with emphasis on midstream operations (e.g. pipe, valve, fittings etc.)
• University degree and a designation in a Supply Chain Management program
