The Group:
The charter of ADI’s Custom Silicon Solutions (CSS) team is to lead the market in selected technology domains with highly differentiated sensing, signal processing and power solutions. Today these technology areas include Capacitive Sensing, Optical Image Stabilization, Optical Sensing, Audio and Power which drive major growth in our portable Consumer business. With a goal to deliver sustainable growth the CSS group will present the successful candidate with a great opportunity for continuous career development as part of a highly motivated and supportive team.
The Position:
The group is seeking an experienced New Product Engineer (NPE) to lead the CSS Product Engineering (PE) team to develop new product solutions for next generation Consumer applications. The successful candidate will work closely with the New Product Development teams to drive all NPI aspects of New Product developments. In addition, you will closely collaborate with the customer and guide your team to achieve product requirements and expectations.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Lead the Product Engineering Team in new product introduction (NPI) from volume samples through Mass Production ramp to meet Yield Quality and Cost targets.
- Shape the PE technical vision and roadmap and drive PE technical strategy and solutions with the potential for companywide-strategic impact.
- Influence/Drive the development of new tools, technologies and processes to enhance ADI Product Engineering Support
- Demonstrated Expertise analyzing and presenting product data to internal users and customers.
- Interface with design, process, test, reliability, and manufacturing engineering and customer to influence Product Design and technical discussions to have impact on the final product.
- Setting production limits using established statistical methodologies and tools, (Exensio, JMP)
- Reliability Qualification reporting and analysis. (HAST, HTOL, ELFR, TC, ESD, LU …etc.)
- Monitor and investigate yield issues arising at any stage in the manufacturing and testing process.
- Analyzing manufacturing data to optimize processes to ensure efficient production of new products through Fab Assembly and Wafer Test.
- Identify root cause for customer returned units, perform risk assessment based on manufacturing data analysis and failure analysis findings, and implement targeted corrective action(s).
- Drive Process improvement and reporting tools efficiency incorporating latest best practices, user and customer feedback.
Relevant Skills:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- 10+ years relevant industry experience such as Semiconductor based Product Engineering/Test Development, ATE testing or characterization.
- Strong mentorship and technical leadership skills along with inter-personal and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across different teams. Strong planning skills are essential.
- Be self-motivated, willing to take on responsibility, and show initiative in identifying and solving challenging technical problems.
- In depth knowledge of the Manufacturing Process, Scheduling & Quality Systems
