This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional capable of providing strategic financial leadership, effective business partnering, and advanced decision support for our group ExCo members.
As the Senior Manager: Financial Planning & Analysis you will be instrumental in driving financial strategy, fostering business partnerships for corporate functions, and supporting the financial aspects of new business cases. In particular, you will be required to support the Head of FP&A in preparing insight led presentations to Group Exco and Divisional CFO’s. You will also be required to support key stakeholders as they lead and transform their functions, acting as a robust and practical sounding board as they optimize their cost base and efficiency initiatives alongside the broader transformation change agenda. Flutter’s ambitions are to build a best-in-class function and as such, require benchmarking against other high performing companies to ensure Flutter achieves and maintains cost efficiency in the upper quartile. In addition, you will be required to support on data alignment across the wider Flutter Group, streamline processes, automate reports where possible utilizing technology, Management Information (MI) and Business Insights (BI) in order to elevate the business partnering within the function.
What You’Ll Do
- Own the month-end calendar and manage the overall deadlines for Flutter functions.
- Lead the production of month-end presentations, crafting compelling narratives.
- Assist investor relations and the group CFO with managing expectations for group functions' outturn, trends, and future outlook.
- Manage the annual budget, forecast, and long-term planning calendar.
- Produce Flutter functions presentations for each planning cycle with excellent visuals.
- Provide Investor Relations with necessary details for market mentorship on group functions' cost base.
- Challenge arguments with an understanding of the exceptional financial considerations in the gaming and betting sector.
- Develop financial models to evaluate new business opportunities.
- Actively participate in group decision-making, providing industry-specific financial perspectives.
- Drive financial outcomes aligned with the evolving goals of our organization.
- Support business leaders in identifying group-wide efficiency opportunities, modelling, and presenting findings.
- Model opportunities aligned with our Flutter Edge, bringing to bear our Talent, Technology, Product & Capital.
- Evaluate investment cases for operational group functions, optimizing returns.
- Work with collaborators to synchronize financial strategies with industry trends.
- Contribute to long-term plans, incorporating industry-specific considerations.
- Offer financial insights to back Company and industry planning.
What You’Ll Need
- 5+ years of post-qualified experience in FP&A, financial modeling, and business partnering.
- Ability to build compelling narratives and executive-level presentations.
- Proficient grasp of financial management, budgeting, and strategic financial planning.
- Excellent analytical skills for interpreting complex financial data.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse collaborators.
- Outstanding storytelling and PowerPoint skills.
- Strategic approach with the ability to contribute to the overall business strategy.
- In-depth understanding of SEC reporting requirements, regulations, and transformation program finance (preferred).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent certification.
