Lead Software Engineering, Oracle

Clarivate is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our growing Academia & Government team. This is a great opportunity for a professional looking to learn and grow their career while working on our best-known app, ProQuest.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related major, OR equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience designing/developing, code, and customizing software applications from product conception to end user interface
• 3+ years of experience working with Oracle
• 2+ years of experience working with SQL, PostgreSQL, AND/OR cloud databases
• 2+ years of experience working with AWS

It would be great if you also had...

• English Speaking Proficiency

What will you be doing in this role?

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in accordance with coding standards.
• Review other codes to ensure clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Define architecture of software solution.
• Implement software for specifications of high complexity for limited scale systems, or medium to high complexity for large-scale systems.
• Implement design changes to improve quality, performance, cost reduction, and standardization through analysis of designs and problem-solving techniques.
• Respond to direct or indirect customer inquiries regarding function and design and attend customer meetings.

Product you will be developing   

ProQuest is a comprehensive online research and information platform that provides access to a vast collection of academic and professional content. App offers built-in citation tools across its platforms to help users easily generate and manage citations for academic and research purposes.

About The Team

You will be working with an established Software Development & Engineering team, that are experts in data development and analysis. We provide support to library customers all over the world.  It is a fast-paced development team working with internal customers/ other departments of Clarivate.

Hours Of Work

This is a permanent full-time position, typical working hours are until 6PM CEST, to align with the US-East timeframes for reporting purposes. This is a hybrid position; you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
