If you're a friendly, proactive, and adaptable Procurement Coordinator, we'd love you to join our team. As a Procurement Coordinator at Sequana, you will be a vital member of our project delivery team, contributing to the successful delivery of medium to large infrastructure projects. The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the procurement process to ensure the organisation obtains high-quality goods and services at competitive prices. This role involves vendor management, contract negotiation, compliance with procurement policies, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. What You Do
- Develop, coordinate, and implement procurement delivery strategies in alignment with organisational goals.
- Identify procurement needs and prepare procurement plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop the procurement strategy for inclusion in the Project Business Case.
- Coordinate the procurement aspects for the selection of the preferred delivery model and commercial frameworks for inclusion in the Significant Procurement Plans.
- Implement market sounding and engagement activities and support engagement with relevant specialist advisors as required.
- Coordinate and implement Probity considerations in consultation with the Probity Advisor and Protocols.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with organisational policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Align the activities required to release and manage procurement documentation with suppliers and the client.
- Support the interactive stages of the procurement/transaction process and the identification, evaluation, and selection of suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
- Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of a robust secure transaction management system for the major transactions, ensuring accurate records, version control, and accessibility and close out of the system and hand back to the client.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Who You Are
Candidates Should Possess:
- Bachelor's degree or similar relevant qualification in Business, Engineering, or Project Management is highly regarded.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are highly regarded (but not essential).
- Proven experience in a procurement role, preferably with medium to large infrastructure projects.
- Thorough understanding of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
- Knowledge of supply chain management and market analysis.
- Strong contract negotiation, vendor management, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Experience with SharePoint and other project management tools is also highly regarded.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
- Enthusiastic team player with the capability to work autonomously when required.
- Tenacious, ambitious, and adaptive to a fast-paced work environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
