  • Job Title: Global Process Lead Payroll

Position Overview:

The Global Payroll Process Expert is responsible for designing, implementing and optimizing payroll processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency and compliance with defined business controls.  This role drives process improvements, ensures seamless payroll operations and collaborates with cross functional teams to support a scalable and well controlled payroll function.  The role will lead the process workstream for systems implementation of time tracking and payroll systems and will lead global change projects such as payroll optimization, new systems implementations and M&A.  

Responsibilities:

  • Process Design and Optimization: Develop and standardize payroll processes to enhance efficiency, reduce errors and ensure scalability across global operations.
  • Compliance Management: Design and implement efficient payroll data management systems, including data collection and integration, storage and processes to support seamless payroll operations in partnership with our Global Payroll vendor.  
  • Process Documentation: Create and maintain a global process catalog with workflows and standard operating procedures.  Define best practices for maintaining country documentation and audit for compliance.  
  • Training and Support: Train payroll teams on standardized processes and system usage, provide ongoing support to ensure adherence to best practices. .
  • Change Management: Lead process changes, including system migrations,global process changes, M&A or regulatory updates ensuring minimal disruption to payroll operations.  
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) for payroll process and employee satisfaction identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with HR, Finance, Payroll Operations and external payroll vendors to align processes, identifying and solutioning areas for improvement, resolve issues and drive well controlled payroll processing. 

The Ideal Candidate…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Payroll service delivery, or related role with global exposure. 
  • In depth knowledge of payroll controls and an understanding of compliance regulations impacting payroll.
  • Knowledge of HR, Payroll and Finance systems (WorkDay, Strada, ADP, Oracle)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving and experience in process mapping and process optimization.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural, remote working environment. 
  • Proficiency in project management and change management methodologies. 
  • Proven ability to drive performance improvements and process optimization in an outsourced environment.
