Ready to put your E&I skills to work in the renewables? We're after a qualified E&I Tech to join our Townsville team keeping our solar farm and hydrogen site running strong.
The Role
This full-time, site-based role reports to the Electrical Supervisor. You'll perform E&I work across solar and hydrogen assets - installing, inspecting, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment to keep performance high and downtime low. You’ll respond to alarms, support upgrades and improvements, and be available for night shift work and call-outs. You'll also work closely with technicians, engineers, and safety teams to ensure systems run safely and efficiently.
About You
You’re a dual-trade E&I tech who is ready to dive into commissioning, operations, maintenance, and problem-solving on renewable energy sites. You’ll need:
- QLD Electrical Fitter/Mechanic licence
- Cert III in Instrumentation and Control
- QLD driver’s licence
- Confident using maintenance systems (WOs/inventory)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read drawings and work independently
- Proactive mindset and team player attitude
- Keen interest in renewables and sustainable energy
Bonus skills (not essential): EWP, forklift and telehandler tickets, HV operator training, hazardous area/hydrogen certifications and experience with PLCs, flow meters, transmitters, solar systems.
