About The Role:

Our team is responsible for maintaining, enriching, and enabling article and assortment information across Coop’s online channels (Web and App). In short, we make it possible for our members and customers to shop Coop products online.

Now, we’re expanding our scope and are working on improving tools for our staff in store, and building solutions that make a real difference.

You’ll join a team of a Product Owner, Tech Lead, and five skilled developers. Together, we work with an Agile mindset, balancing complex technical challenges with a strong focus on delivering business value quickly.

As a Fullstack Java Developer, you’ll do more than write code. You’ll solve problems end-to-end, collaborate across teams, and help shape Coop’s digital experience for the future. Your Role And Responsibilities:

• Contribute to backend services (REST APIs, microservices) with a pragmatic mindset.
• Own features from concept to production — including testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain scalable web applications using modern frameworks (React, Node.js, etc.).
• Strengthen our Backend and development capabilities to ensure delivery and operation of both new solutions we are developing and maintaining existing functionality
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders.

Who Are You?

We are looking for a quality-driven developer who takes full ownership of their work while actively supporting colleagues and contributing to continuous improvement of ways of working. Acts as a role model by leading with strong technical skills, speed, and the right mindset, combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Communicative, collaborative, and easy to work with, with strong English skills and Swedish as a plus.

To be successful in this assignment, we are looking for you with:

• 4+ years experience working as a Java developer, 17 and above
• Extensive experience building Spring boot microservices and REST based API services
• Experience working with Front-end stack especially ReactJs
• Experience working with Docker containerization and Kubernetes
• Experience working with Cloud Technologies (Azure preferred)
• Understanding of event-based architecture
• Understanding of Databases (SQL/MongoDB)

It’s a merit if you have:

• Infrastructure experience, Terraform, IAC
• Knowledge of Event streaming platforms like Kafka
• Retail industry experience
