We are seeking a Global Safety Manager with expertise in safety, audits, and project management.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and anchoring a Service Safety Strategy. Your focus will be on ensuring that safety initiatives effectively address the challenges our employees encounter on-site, within diverse and complex customer environments. Additionally, you will drive the optimization projects within our Services organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Service Operations manager, QHSE managers and coating advisors from around the world.

You will report directly to our Service Projects and Process Director. It can be based in either our Polinyá – Spain, Gdansk – Poland or Lyngby, Denmark office where we offer a flexible work policy.

Here’s some of the main exciting responsibilities you can look forward to

  • Develop and implement the Services safety strategy, in close collaboration with Global HSE, ensuring alignment with global objectives and operational needs.
  • Establish and maintain safety governance, including SOPs, guidelines, tools, checklists, and presentations to support consistent execution of safety initiatives
  • Lead and coordinate global safety audits and incident reporting, identify root causes, improvement areas, and ensure timely follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Design and deliver targeted safety training and awareness campaigns for service teams
  • Drive continuous improvement by regularly reviewing safety procedures and integrating lessons learned from incidents and audits.
  • Research local safety regulations and requirements with support from Global HSE, to ensure compliance and inform safety processes and training.
  • Apply project management skills to plan, complete, and lead safety initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, collaborator alignment, and measurable outcomes.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • Validated experience in Safety management, ideally within shipyards, operational sites, or industrial environments.
  • Academic background or equivalent experience in Occupational Safety, QHSE, or a related technical field.
  • Extensive project management experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional safety initiatives across global teams.
  • Background in Services, Technical Operations, or Coatings, especially within Marine, Energy, or Infrastructure sectors, would be in advantage.
  • Proven leadership and hands-on experience crafting safety initiatives for complex operational settings.
  • Strong skills in documentation, training material development, presentations, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus.
