Job Summary

Warehouse Supervisor, Late Shift (14:00 - 22:00).

£37,000 + 5% shift allowance (OTE £38,850) + 5% pension and other benefits

Responsible for leading, directing and developing a Warehouse operational team and the tools at hand to perform the functions, Including Automated and Semi automated MHE, Conveyor and storage systems.

To drive and lead engagement throughout the teams, being proactive with delivering CDW’s Leadership Model and encouraging the CDW Way code of conduct through all practices.

Responsible for ensuring a CDW Warehouse operations team fully understands the expectations of their roles and responsibilities, working collaboratively with other Supply chain leaders to provide an excellent level of service

Responsible for process and high levels of productivity within the relevant teams, Ensuring SLAs can be met, KPIs are used effectively to drive data led decision making, and automation tools are used to their best ability.

What you will do

  • Manage automated and manual warehouse processes, ensuring accuracy and high levels of productivity
  • Leverage automation technology to optimise operations and minimise downtime.
  • Identify development opportunities for succession planning.
  • Support and champion change initiatives, driving a passion for Continuous Improvement and remaining self critical
  • Oversee the relevant area of operation, taking ownership of the day to day running and SLA adherance
  • Ensure agility to meet evolving customer demands and volumes.
  • Lead and motivate teams in a high-pressure, technology-driven environment.
  • Manage performance appraisals, recruitment, disciplinary actions, and absence.
  • Use knowledge and judgement to identify and resolve technical and operational problems within the team
  • Influence others using core people skills
  • Management of resource and overtime usage
  • Build a culture of Health and Safety, Security and Hygiene focus
  • Effective co-ordination and management of targets across team and individuals.
  • Create a cohesive, self-sufficient team that will deal effectively with high demand
  • Responsible for supporting the creation of operational reports, using system data, observations and recommendations to ensure that continuous SLAs are adhered to
  • Communicate all relevant and purposeful information to the team
  • Support the overall development of CDW’s Supply chain in any way possible
  • Support and cover for absence and holiday for other department leaders

What we expect of you

  • Operations leadership/management/Supervisory experience in a warehousing/manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Experienced in leading through change and driving excellence through motivating and engaging teams, using performance management tools and procedures to ensure team members share in departmental success
  • Experience working alongside Coworker success teams (HR, Payroll, Talent Acquisition etc..)
  • Experience with creating and analysing performance KPIs, target setting
  • Working to challenging deadlines in pressured environments
  • Experience driving or contributing to continuous improvement or development initiatives.
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on leveraging automation.
  • Experienced in cost control, including resource management and overtime management
  • Ideally experienced in working in an Automated Warehousing environment
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills
